Gillian Howard Award for Excellence in Health-Care Communications

Applications for the 2026 award open on January 29th, 2026 and close on March 5, 2026.

The purpose of the Gillian Howard Award for Excellence in Health-Care Communications is to encourage continued learning and professional growth in health care communications.

To be eligible for the Award, applicants must:

● Be a member of a TAHSN (full or associate affiliation) academic hospital communications team.
● Complete this online application form.
● Submit a letter of recommendation from a manager or supervisor. Letters of recommendation should be no longer than 1 page, and can be attached to the online application form.

An award of $2,500 will be presented yearly at the TAHSN Education Day. Applications for the 2026 award open on January 29th, 2026 and close on March 5, 2026.

APPLICATION PROCESS

A Selection Committee will consider applications for the 2026 award in March 2026.
One letter of recommendation from a supervisor or leader must accompany the completed application form.

NOTE: Only staff belonging to TAHSN network member organizations can apply for this award.
