When Trillium Health Partners brought Women’s and Children’s inpatient services together at one site, the communications challenge was not simply to announce change, but to maintain trust during a highly visible and emotionally sensitive transition. This talk will show how the team used multilingual materials, early outreach to partners, targeted internal updates and human-centred storytelling to support families, staff and the broader community. Attendees will hear how communication was treated as an extension of care, with clarity, accessibility and empathy guiding the approach from start to finish.
