Lakeridge Health’s “This is Lakeridge Health” campaign set out to close the gap between what the organization is and what many in the community believed it to be: a single local hospital rather than a large, integrated health system. This talk will explore how storytelling, community engagement and strategic partnerships were used to humanize the organization, build pride among staff and help residents better understand the breadth of care available close to home. Attendees will learn how accessible narratives can shift public perception of complex institutions and position communications as a driver of broader system transformation. They will also hear early results from the campaign, including growth in earned media, impressions, video views and community engagement.
